SEN Students

A small Sixth Form like Cedars Martin can be the ideal choice to allow students to excel academically, but the smaller class sizes, quiet atmosphere and supportive nature of the college means they can really excel.  

Students at Cedars Martin will benefit from high quality teaching, which challenges students and embraces metacognition and the use of teaching and learning strategies like narration, live modelling and retrieval practice. We will however adapt to the needs of students and put support and strategies into place as and when it is needed.  

As a School we collaboratively with Special Educational Needs authorities at Leicester County Council and Leicester City Council as well as a wide range of specialist services so that students who have been formally diagnosed with medical or SEN needs receive the support, they need from professional bodies in order to flourish.
